I am currently reading Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe.
Considered his magnum opus, this novel focuses on the fictional Igbo wrestling champion Okonkwo. It is a beautiful piece of prose and is cautionary tale on the introduction of colonialism into Nigeria. In many ways it is a tragic reminder of pride, tradition and the passive responses by many African communities to colonialism. This will be my third time reading this novel. Highly recommended as one of the best African, nay best novels, I have read.
