Domestic Violence Cuts Both Ways

Following my post on the need for men to take collective responsibility on how we treat and speak to women, it would be remiss not to address the balance. Men are victims of domestic violence and aggression as well and sometimes more than we care to admit.

This video from Mankind Initiative shows the very different reactions to the public to domestic violence. From intervention on one side to nonchalance and even humour in another

No one should have to live in fear of being attacked and added to that if it happened in public that someone would not intervene in a situation. This is a conversation that needs to continue and not just be suppressed because of assumptions around who is or is not the weaker sex.
